Nikoloz Chikovani was born on September 28, 2002. From an early age, he developed a passion for cinema. In 2020, he graduated from the Robert Schuman European School. Two years later, in 2022, he presented his debut documentary film, Endless Light, at the Tbilisi International Film Festival.

In 2023, he completed a three-month filmmaking course in Berlin. Armed with this new experience, he directed his second documentary, As Time Passes, which was later released on Cavea Plus.

That same year, Nikoloz enrolled in the Bachelor’s program in Film Production at the Catalyst Institute for Creative Arts and Sciences in Berlin. A year later, he earned a Certificate of Higher Education and returned to Tbilisi, where he published two short stories - "Who Loves Love" and "Countless Snowflakes" - in the Literary Newspaper and the magazine Georgian Literature.

In 2025, he began developing a new documentary project centered on the renowned Georgian rock band Soft Eject and the cultural isolation caused by the Iron Curtain. He soon partnered with 1991 Productions, presenting the project under their banner at the Go East Film Festival on April 27, 2026, to representatives from ARTE.
