From writing feature stories and documentary stage plays, Elene Burtchuladze ventured into filmmaking in 2022. Since then, she has participated in various local and international programmes and screenwriting workshops organized by the United Nations, DOCA Georgia, Kutaisi International Short Film Festival, and Caucasus Cinema; Through the filmmaking fellowship at Chai Khana - Multimedia Platform for the South Caucasus, Elene made a short documentary film in 2024, which has won the Golden Prometheus for Best Short Documentary Film at Tbilisi International Film Festival, received a Special Mention at Kutaisi International Short Film Festival, and had its international premiere at Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival in the Short Joy section. The film “Father, Developed” was also featured in the Short Film Corner | Rendez-vous Industry at the Cannes Film Festival.
