What the workshop includes
The goal of the workshop is to help filmmakers deepen their creative vision and be able to communicate it effectively.
Participants will work on developing their documentary film ideas. They will familiarize themselves with the principles of working with a written film proposal and creating visual samples, and will practice these in real projects. The workshop covers both idea discussion, synopsis writing, author’s vision elaboration, and refining visual samples.
A maximum of 5 participants will be selected. The working approach will be both group-based and individual.
Who can participate
Beginner (or professional) directors and authors who have an ongoing documentary film project at the development or production stage.
Any film length is acceptable (short or feature).
Authors should have at least an initial written outline of the film idea and a trailer or visual example (exceptions include photo materials).
Previous experience in film production is not necessary.

Salome Jashi has been working in the documentary film industry since 2008. Her feature and short films have been screened around the world, including at the Sundance Film Festival and Berlinale. Salomé is also a seasoned tutor in documentary film and collaborates with international training platforms, including ExOriente Film Workshop, Baltic Sea Forum for Documentaries, Below Zero, Docedge Kolkata, Docs by the Sea, Barlinale Talents Doc Station.
